EXPOSED TO OXY LEVELS IN EX CESS OF 35-40% MAY SUFFER PERM.
VISUALIMPAIRMENT OR BLINDNESS DUE TO RETROLENTAL FIBROPLASIA.
Effects of Overexposure:PARTIAL PRESSURE OF OXY IN EXCESS OF TWO ATMOS.
MAY PRODUCE A VARIETY OF CENTRALNERVOUS SYS. MANIFESTATIONS
INCLUDING TINGLING OF FINGERS & TOES, VISUAL & HEAR-ING
DISTURANCES, ABNORMAL SENSATIONS, IM PAIRED COORDINATION,
CONFUSTION, MUSCLETWITCHING, & SEIZURES. SEVERE SYMPTOMS MAY LEAD
TO OPERATIONAL JUDGEMENT ERRORS.

First Aid

First Aid:IF CRYOGENIC LIQUID OR COLD BOIL-OFF GAS CONTACTS A WORKER'S
SKIN OR EYES, FROZETISSUES SHOULD BE FLOODED OR SOAKED WITH TEPID
WATER (105-115F;41-46C). DO NOT USE HOT WATER. BURNS WHICH RESULT
IN BL ISTERING OR DEEPER TISSUE FREEZINGSHOULD BE SEEN PROMPTLY BY
A PHYSICIAN.

ACCELERATES COMBUSTION OF FLAMMABLTO FIGHT FIRES, SHUT OFF SOURCES
OF OXYGEN AND FIGHT LIKE CONVENTIONAL FIRE.
Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazard:OXY IS NONFLAMMABLE, BUT SUPPORTS &
VIGOROUSLY ACCELERATES COMBUSTION OF FLAMMABSOME MATERIALS WHICH
ARE NONCOMBUSTIBLE IN AIR WILL BURN IN THE PRESENCE OF OXY.

Accidental Release

Spill Release Procedures:PREVENT LIQ OXY FROM CONTACTING GREASE, OIL,
ASPHAOR COMBUSTIBLES, VENT AREA TO EVAP & DISPERSE OXY.FLUSH AREA
WITH LRG QTY OF WATER.DO NOT ENTER AREAOF HIGH OXY
CONCENTRATION.AVOID CONTACT WITH SOURC OF IGNITION AFTER EXPOSURE
TO HIGH CONCENT. OF OXY

Handling

Handling and Storage Precautions:SEGREGATE FULL & EMPTY CYLINDERS.
AVOID EXPOSURE TO SALT & OTHER CORROSIVE CHEM. SEE CGA PAMP P-1.
PREVENT ENTRAPMENT OF LIQUID IN CLOSED SYSTEMS.
Other Precautions:OXY IS NOT TO BE USED AS A SUB FOR COMPRESSED AIR.
APPLICATIONS SUCH AS CLEANINGDUSTING, POWERING PNEUMATIC TOOLS,
ETC. ARE NOT SAFE DUE TO LUBRICATING OILS & OTHER MAT. PRESENT.
USE ONLY W/EQUIP SPE CIFIC. DESIGNED & CLEANED FOR OXY SERVIC

Exposure Controls

Ventilation:PREVENT ACCUMULATION WITH NATURAL OR FORCED AIR.
Protective Gloves:(LIQ)LOOSE FITTING LEATHER:(GAS)LEATHER
Eye Protection:CHEMICAL GOGGLES OR SAFETY GLASSES
Supplemental Safety and Health
VENTS SHOULD BE SITUATED TO AVOID HIGHER THAN NORMAL CONCENTRATION OF
OXYGEN IN WORK AREAS.
