Effects of Overexposure:EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE TO HIGH CONCENTRATIONS
SO AS TO DISPLACE THE OXYGEN IN THE AIR NECESSARY FOR LIFE ARE
HEADACHE, DIZZINESS, LABORED BREATHING AND EVENTUAL
UNCONSCIOUSNESS. BREATHING MIXTURES OF HELIUM WITH ADEQUATE OXYGEN
TO SUPPORTLIFE MODIFIES THE VOICE SO THAT IT IS HIGH PITCHED.

First Aid

First Aid:INHALE: PROMPT MEDICAL ATTENTION MANDATORY IN ALL OVEREXPOS
CASES. USE SCBA. REMOVE TO FRESH AIR. QUICK REMOVAL IS IMPORTANT.
GIVE CPR/SUPPLEMENTAL OXYGEN IF UNCONSCIOUS. SYMPTOMATIC &
SUPPORTIVE TREA TMENT. EYES: DO NOT WASH W/HOT/TEPID WATER. NEVER
USE OINTMENT OR OIL W/O MEDICAL ADVISE. OPEN EYELIDS WIDE TO ALLOW
LIQUID TO EVAPORATE. IF VICTIM CANNOT TOLERATE LIGHT, PROTECT EYES
W/LIGHT BANDAGE.

Fire Fighting

Extinguishing Media:NONFLAMMABLE, INERT GAS - USE ANY EXTINGUISHING
MEDIA WHICH IS SUITABLE FOR THE SURROUNDING FIRE.

Accidental Release

OUT" INVENTORY. DO NOT DRAG, SLIDE, OR ROLL CYLINDERS. USE SUITABLE
HAND TRUCK FOR MOVEMENT. USE PRESSURE REDUCING REGULATOR WHEN
CONNECTING CYLINDER TO LOWER PRESSURE PIPING OR SYSTEMS.

SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR
